The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an IT Project Manager in the Project Management Office (PMO) within the Library of Congress. The incumbent performs project management duties related to the planning, development, and delivery of the Library's IT solutions. The incumbent interacts with internal and external stakeholders, business and systems analysts, IT specialists, contractors, and others to ensure development and implementation of optimal technical solutions within time, budget, and cost constraints. Supports the IT Project Management Office to provide Project Management governance, methodologies, training, and support Library-wide. Conducts special projects and studies, either individually, as a participant on task forces or working groups, or as a project leader. Consults with the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Deputy Chief Information Officer (DCIO), IT Project Management Officer, and other OCIO managers and employees on IT project management priorities and the planning and implementation of strategic IT objectives. The incumbent may serve as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) on identified OCIO contracts.
