Our client is searching for a Senior Procurement Specialist to join their Supply Chain team. The Senior Procurement Specialist is a key leadership role responsible for managing and optimizing complex procurement processes. The position involves developing strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiating and managing high-value contracts, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role requires broad expertise in procurement best practices, particularly within the Oil and Gas industry, including a detailed understanding of pipe, valves, and fittings (PVF) products, and the Upstream, Downstream, and Midstream markets. Key Results Areas

Strategic Sourcing and Cost Management Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to optimize costs, mitigate risks, and enhance overall procurement efficiency. Identify and assess potential suppliers, fostering relationships to secure competitive advantages. Implement cost-effective procurement strategies without compromising quality. Establish and manage procurement budgets, analyzing spending patterns and identifying opportunities for cost reduction. Contract Negotiation and Management Lead negotiations for high-value contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions. Monitor and manage supplier contracts, identify opportunities for cost savings and performance improvement. Maintain a portfolio of complex suppliers and oversee demand planning. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partners. Conduct regular performance reviews and collaborate with vendors to drive continuous improvement. Collaborate with the Data Management team on vendor maintenance, including pricing tiers, promotions, and points of contact. Support the Accounts Payables team to ensure prompt payment status with vendors. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and project management, to understand procurement needs and align strategies accordingly. Provide procurement expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams. Procurement Process Optimization and Operational Efficiency Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements. Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, optimizing efficiency and reducing lead times. Implement and maintain procurement best practices, including ERP demand planning checklists, automated replenishment plans (ARPs), and warehouse transfers. Supervise service desk tickets and respond to business requests within agreed SLAs. Identify and assess risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate potential disruptions. Stay informed about market trends and global events that may impact procurement activities. Team Leadership and Mentorship Provide leadership to the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop team members, facilitating training and skill enhancement. Utilize procurement technologies and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. Stay abreast of technological advancements in procurement and recommend relevant tools for adoption. Industry Expertise Proficient in Oil and Gas procurement with a high-level understanding of the O&G industry, including Upstream, Downstream, Midstream, and PVF sectors. In-depth knowledge of PVF industry compliance, quality assurance, and networking. Maintain and leverage existing supplier relationships within the PVF industry for organizational benefit. Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in procurement, with a significant focus on the Oil and Gas industry, preferably Pipe, Valves, and Fittings products. Proven track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management. Strong understanding of procurement technologies and best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Certifications in procurement or supply chain management, such as CPSM or CSCP, are desired.
