Duties: Handle a broad variety of high-profile matters, including litigation, investigations, compliance, and counseling work Conduct legal research and analysis on government contracts laws and regulations Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents related to bid protests and contract disputes Provide legal counsel and representation to government contractors Assist with internal and government investigations, False Claims Act litigation, and suspension/debarment matters Develop and enhance ethics and compliance programs to meet/exceed FAR 52.203-13 requirements and best practices Counsel clients on FAR/DFARS compliance, including BAA/TAA compliance, small business rules, competition requirements, and mandatory disclosure Represent clients in bid protest proceedings, including drafting protest grounds and pleadings Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies and solutions Requirements: 3-6 years of focused government contracts experience Admission to practice law in the state of California Law firm experience with a Chambers-rated government contracts practice preferred Experience as a judicial clerk for the U.S. Court of Federal Claims preferred Academic training in government contracts law preferred Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Certifications: Admission to practice law in the state of California Skills: Strong research, analysis, communication, and writing skills Significant bid protest experience and familiarity with protest grounds and case law Experience counseling clients under FAR/DFARS Familiarity with internal and government investigations, False Claims Act litigation, and suspension/debarment matters Ability to develop and enhance ethics and compliance programs Attention to detail and accuracy in legal work Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong client service orientation Company info
