Commodity and Sourcing Manager, Aftermarket

will negotiate and manage supplier contracts in conjunction with our Global Sourcing Team to achieve cost savings and enhance supplier performance while managing cross-functional teams and building collaborative relationships. Lead Aftermarket key global and Regional vendors, setting objectives and working with others on executing and implementing supply chain strategy aligned with Product Managers, Business and Engineers. Responsible for developing and improving commodity management and sourcing processes to enhance price, quality, timing, and reliability of Carrier outcomes. This position can be located at Carrier’s Charlotte, Atlanta or Palm Beach Gardens, FL office. Key Responsibilities Category Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy for Aftermarket parts, aligned with the organization's overall procurement and business objectives. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities, potential risks, and emerging trends within the Aftermarket HVAC industry. Supplier Management: Lead supplier identification, evaluation, selection, and relationship management activities. Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers to ensure the highest quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery of steel raw materials, components and products. Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers. Draft and manage contracts and agreements to protect the organization's interests while promoting mutually beneficial partnerships in a cross functional sourcing environment. Cost Optimization: Implement cost reduction initiatives and continuously monitor market dynamics to capitalize on cost-saving opportunities within the Aftermarket parts HVAC category without compromising quality. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Planning, WHQ Supply Chain, Engineering, Product Development, and Operations, to understand their requirements and ensure alignment between procurement and business objectives. Supplier Performance Management: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers, evaluate their performance regularly, and work collaboratively to address any performance issues. Team Leadership: Build and lead Aftermarket key global vendors on a high-performing cross functional team of procurement professionals. Provide guidance, strategy, and influence others. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain, Commodity Management or Strategic Sourcing 20% travel in North America Preferred Qualifications Experience in Aftermarket Strategic Sourcing within a global manufacturing organization. Preferable experience in Managing Commodities such as Compressors, Motors, Valves, Coils and Heat Exchanges Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers 3+ years of Advanced user knowledge in MS Excel Knowledge on ERP system (preferable SAP) and the usage of Power Bi Tools. Demonstrated track record of driving significant cost savings through strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier optimization, and contract negotiation. Strong analytical and market research skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities while mitigating supply chain risks.
