General Liability Defense Attorney

A law firm in Greenville is seeking an experienced General Liability Defense Attorney to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will handle a diverse caseload focusing on defending clients in complex litigation matters involving general liability claims. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage all phases of litigation from inception through trial, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses. Conduct legal research and provide timely legal analysis on various legal issues. Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders. Develop and implement case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes. Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management. Requirements: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active Bar membership in good standing in the state of South Carolina. Must have experience practicing law with a focus on general liability defense. Proven track record of handling complex litigation matters independently. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Preferred Qualifications: Experience handling insurance defense matters is highly preferred.
