The National Systems Group serves as the technical advisor to the Intelligence Community and its mission partners involved in the collection and distribution of national and tactical intelligence, including electronics programs, advanced technologies, ground and communications, imagery programs, and systems engineering and launch.
We are looking for a
GEOINT Future Architectures System Director
to lead a staff and engineering/technical reachback resources in support of the NRO’s GEOINT System Integration & Architecture Office. This is a highly influential opportunity to help shape future GEOINT architectures conducting modeling and simulation, concept development and evaluation, and mission thread exploration. In this dynamic role you will be l eading technical input to key architecture- and enterprise-level decision-making in the NRO GEOINT Directorate and beyond. Work Model This is a full-time position based in Chantilly, Virginia which requires 100% onsite work with the customer. What You’ll Be Doing: Collaborating across the NRO and the Intelligence community to influence current and future investments Leading reachback subject matter experts in concept exploration and evaluation for future capabilities Leading staff and reachback to position Aerospace for influence roles for customer focus areas Leading and developing staff and reachback resources to address a broad-ranging set of technical topics Developing and managing customer support plans to maximize impact inside provided resources Collaborating and communicating across Aerospace and key elements of the National Security Space enterprise such as the USSF and other elements of the Intelligence Community What You Need to be Successful Minimum Requirements for the

Modeling and Simulation Engineering Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering, mathematics, or science field 12 or more years of relevant technical experience Technical experience in system and architecture modeling and optimization Demonstrated capability to address and solve complex challenges Demonstrated ability to lead teams with diverse skill sets to solve multi-disciplinary challenges Strong organization and communication skills Willing to support occasional travel domestically (typically 1-2 week per quarter or less) This position requires a current and active TS/SBI/SCI security clearance and polygraph, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
