TITLE: Information Systems Security Manager II LOCATION: Bedford, MA CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, On-site POSITION SUMMARY Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is looking for an experienced Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to be a key advisor on all aspects of information system security. In this critical role, you'll be at the forefront of safeguarding sensitive systems, providing expert guidance on both technical and non-technical security matters. You will work directly within Special Access Programs (SAPs) to support top-tier Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, such as HQ Air Force and the Office of the Secretary of Defense. This position offers the opportunity to deliver essential, daily security oversight for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and SAP activities, directly impacting national security. RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to): Oversee information system security programs, focusing on SAP network integration, RMF guidelines, and JSIG processes. Advise on RMF assessments, conduct risk evaluations, and provide recommendations to DoD customers and program managers. Develop and maintain the Information Systems Security Program, including security policies, incident response, testing, and authorization documentation. Ensure proper training for cybersecurity personnel and lead security education and awareness programs. Evaluate and recommend security measures, manage configuration management (CM) processes, and document/test security changes. Conduct security assessments, address vulnerabilities, and manage security for external systems and system recovery. Ensure life cycle security compliance, review security postures, and implement corrective actions as needed. Lead and mentor cybersecurity and IT teams, providing research and support for ongoing security initiatives. Perform self-inspections, manage security documentation, and coordinate technical security issues with ISSE. Traverse between buildings as needed, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform sedentary work for at least 50% of the time. REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Must possess an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance. Must possess eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information. Must be willing to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph. Must possess some Special Access Program (SAP) experience. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or another relevant field. Or an additional 4 years of relevant experience. 7-9 years related experience in information security, or another relevant field. Prior performance in roles such as ISSO or ISSM. Must currently possess, or must be eligible to obtain within six months of hire, one of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CySA, GICSP, GSEC, Security CE, CND, SSCP) or CAP, CASP CE, CISM, CISSP (or associate), GSLC, CCISO.
