The Role: Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Full Stack Developer to serve our diverse base of global clients. Location: Charlotte, NC Work Authorization Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.) Roles Responsibilities: 6-12 years of overall experience Lead the design and implementation of scalable software solutions using Core Java and J2EE. Develop and maintain RESTful and SOAP web services to improve application functionality. Use Hibernate for efficient database management and data retrieval. Ensure the integration of REST APIs for seamless communication between different software components. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to identify and resolve software issues. Adhere to standard methodologies in coding and design to enhance software performance. Take part in code reviews to ensure the integrity of the code and promote collaboration. Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in software development. Provide technical guidance to junior team members and contribute to their growth. Collaborate closely with the project management team to meet deadlines and accomplish the work. Ensure software compliance with security protocols and data protection standards. Optimize existing software applications for improved performance and scalability. Candidate will have a strong background in Core Java, Hibernate, J2EE, and web services, with a preference for those with experience in the Cards & Payments domain. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software that meets our client needs. Perform Java development activities and build REST API's that are used by several teams. Perform POC's to demonstrate that the concepts are functional, or possess equivalent experience. Represent the team in meetings with other projects. Supervise the system performance by performing regular tests, solving, and integrating new features. Recommend solutions to improve new and existing design. Participate in Code review meetings. Supervise Code quality and consistently strive for improvement. Educate staff members through training and individual support. Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner. Understand and document data flows in and between different systems/applications. Required Qualifications: Proven experience in Core Java, Hibernate, J2EE, Rest API, REST Web Services, SOAP, and XML is required, Spring Framework, Spring boot services. RESTAPI creation Required Skills: Java (Java 11 or Java 17), Spring Framework, Spring boot, AWS and JavaScript, Node JS, Angular JS, MySQL, SQL, JSON, Linux, XML, GIT, YAML, Design Patterns, JUnit5 Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until 12/23/2024. The annual salary for this position is between $70,000.00 - $100,000.00/year depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
