A Day in the Life: The overall responsibility of the Project Manager/Project Delivery Lead is to craft and deliver technology-enabled solutions via projects that are well-defined, well-structured, and adhere to best practices. This role is the primary “face” of a project. Successful candidates conduct their work with high professionalism, quality, diligence, and adaptability. The winning candidate will be passionate, committed, and a fast learner, adaptable, coachable, and open to new approaches to technology solution projects. What You’ll Do: Facilitates daily stand-up, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective Manage the development releases and facilitates sprint releases Analyses business requirements documents and project timelines Guides team in time estimating practices and facilitates team estimates Holds team accountable for JIRA tool usage Interacts with other Scrum Masters and project managers to ensure inter-team dependencies are addressed Drive team iteration execution, communicates with leadership and stakeholders, protects the team from uncontrolled injection of work (changes are evaluated/intentional) Maintain and publishes team data and metrics in JIRA to support estimates and execution (release burn up, velocity metrics, sprint burn down etc.). Manage project conflicts, challenges and dynamic business requirements to keep operations Work with the team leads to resolve people problems and project roadblocks Implement and support principles, rules and processes Write all functional requirements as user stories Create test cases and record results with direct traceability to user stories Able to do post mortem and root cause analysis to help teams continuously improve their practices to ensure maximum productivity Proactively identify and eliminate impediments and facilitate flow Deliver solutions via projects that are on time, on budget, and in scope Create and manage projects with strong stakeholder alignment and buy-in re: strategy, scope, and timeline Drive close project collaboration across business, technology, and third-party teams Manage, support, and synthesize the work of project team members, including Business Analysts Create project plans, socialize them with stakeholders, and keep them up-to-date and available on file share Superior & demonstrated team building & development skills to harness powerful teams Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of leadership within the organization Provide timely updates so that progress against each individual incident can be updated as required Write and review high quality technical documentation Presents high level project readouts for senior management Facilitates effective mediation of team conflicts. Lead and direct technology solutions through all phases of the project. Supports product owner(s) with intra-team dynamics with respect to priorities and scope Leads team effort in relentless improvement, define and implement improvement stories to increase the velocity and quality of the program Ensures their workstation and all processes and procedures, follow organization standards Encourages and maintains a ‘Best practice sharing culture’, always striving to find ways to improve service and change mind set. What We’re Looking For: 5 years’ experience within Hertz and/or in Project Management Four-year college degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Economics or like preferred Experience working with JIRA Demonstrates experience in managing projects of various sizes, complexity and types (e.g., application development, outsources services). Can execute Software Development Methodology and techniques as developed and governed by our internal Project Management office. Experience performing the Scrum Master role for a software development or IT services team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory. Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing etc. Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Create detailed requirements, including acceptance criteria Design business processes via activity diagrams Write and execute test cases that tie to design requirements Thoughtful practitioner of multiple methodologies and frameworks Project Management experience, including MS Project or similar Prefer prior experience creating UML diagrams Flexibility in scheduling which may include nights, weekends, and holidays We expect the starting salary to be around $105,000 to $130,000 with annual bonus and profit sharing eligibility.
