Overview
Stryten Energy manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets.
The Quality Manager will provide leadership in the day to day activities for all departments within the facility and partner with the Engineering community to solve problems and improve quality.
Manage product and process data collection and summary, Corrective Action System, Calibration, internal auditing, and key customer activities. This individual should have a thorough working knowledge of TS16949 Quality System Requirements, OEM expectations, and the Quality Operating System of manufacturing and distribution.

Responsibilities
Provide day to day quality support to manufacturing and quality assurance in the form of plans and procedures. Responsible for quality team coverage on the production floor and lab testing that compliance with all testing and control plan requirements Coordinate and participate in the MSA testing and based are their results, work with corporate and the plant to improve this measurement as needed. Coordinate and validate that all measurement gauges used to determine quality of product are calibrated, in good working order, are used correctly, and all test method procedures are followed. Validate that the plant complies with all quality control inspections and sampling techniques which will assure products meet company and customer quality standards. Responsible for the adherence to the plant Control Plan, Process and Product specifications. Responsible for the adherence to the incoming material requirements and periodic sampling procedures for both incoming and in-process components. Responsible for the coordination of short term and long term capabilities studies in conjunction with the plant process engineering team. Working hand in hand to understand the plants capability by process and actions to improve over time. Conduct research on product defects, test performance, plant reject and scrap, and recommend process or product changes to overcome quality issues. Assist with conducting and preparation of quality audits and reports. Work with the team on problem solving initiatives and link actions and outcomes to Control Plans. PFMEA’s, plant inspection points, and Customer returns. Coordinate efforts with the team with corrective action resolution for internal KPI’s and external customer issues (assembly plant complaint and warranty initiatives) Performs other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
: Responsible for providing technical guidance and direction to positions including QA Engineer, QS Coordinator, Q.A. Inspectors, Lab and Calibration Technicians, Return Customer analysis, and clerks.
Day to day supervision responsibilities include determining departmental training needs, evaluation of subordinate job performance, recommend salary/title changes, determining hire/fire actions, and disciplinary actions for employees engaged in quality control operations. Coaching and developing employees for future opportunity and to assure accountability and adherence to established policies and procedures.
RELATIONSHIPS : Maintain positive corporate, employee, customer and vendor working relationships which will enable resolving the most difficult of quality issues.
Qualifications
Education, Experience, Certifications: Minimum of 4 year degree in Management, Engineering or Quality or 10 years related experience in manufacturing quality preferred Experience in managing people Six Sigma training (Green Belt or Black Belt) a Plus Competencies, Skills, Knowledge: Demonstrate leadership skills Proficient in problem solving – root cause analysis, 5 why, etc. Must be quality and customer oriented Must have strong problem solving skills Knowledgeable in ISO 9001 quality standards; APQP methodology; Control Plans, FMEAs, and PPAPs Knowledgeable in Statistics and Lean Tools Must be able to work independently and in a team-oriented environment on multiple projects Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills Strong computer skills -Windows-based programs TRAVEL, ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS : Travel Expectations: ≤ 10%
