Role Description:
Inventory Management and Handling •Keeping track of all incoming and outgoing pre-production hardware from multiple partners from physically receiving shipments from dock, inspection for damages, final installation in the lab. Ship out at EOL •Bring up and early enablement Long tail lifecycle from partner fab to market launch •Bring-up of samples across entire lifecycle (for multiple partners - Client, AMD) - pre-alpha, alpha, pre-beta, beta, multiple silicon stepping until launch •Support to multiple engineering teams across all of VVF/VCF stack •CPU&Server platform, VMKernel, IO drivers, User space, Monitor, VSAN, NSX, Performance teams •Highly specialized Tech-Ops that need unique skills •From CPU to component level handling sensitive and expensive pre production samples such as swapping out CPUs from sockets which is a high precision task •FW Updates and low level debug/triage •Work with partner teams for multi step fw install, upgrades, work in high touch unstable hardware/software environment •HW support to SW teams for various scenarios - Ex: simulate surprise hot removal, hot plug, recovery, RMA, etc •Lab infrastructure maintenance - switches, racks etc, Infrastructure software, ensure compliance to safety and ESD guidelines •Hosting partner/internal VCF engineers for debug/triage maintaining strict access within labs to avoid exposure to other partners hardware etc
