The Opportunity
We are seeking a Part-Time, 24-hour, Nurse Practitioner to support our Outpatient Cardiology team. Weekly schedules consist of 21.5 hours of clinical, patient-facing time and 2.5 hours of administrative time. The Part-Time NP will be required to work (3) 8-hour shifts per week. This clinic is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Our clinic is located at 300 Boylston Street, Suite 201, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467.
The Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing exceptional direct diagnostic and therapeutic patient care to the highest standards of the organization as part of a multidisciplinary team including 10 Cardiologists and 3 other APPs. The Nurse Practitioner participates in the delivery of patient care in the outpatient setting by performing initial and follow-up visits, as well as autonomous performance of approved clinical functions.
The Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner cultivates a patient centric environment which focuses on the whole individual inclusive of physical, psychosocial, spiritual and functional needs of the patient and family. The NP acts as a resource and collaborates with clinical staff and other hospital and health care disciplines for promotion of health to the optimal level of wellness for patients, families, and the community. This individual works in accordance with state law and hospital regulations, hospital policy, protocols and clinical pathways and may provide autonomous as well as team-based care.

Qualifications
Required
* Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing * Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts * Current Federal DEA prescribing privileges * Current Commonwealth of Mass Controlled Substances Registration * CPR (BLS) certification
Preferred
* Certification or advanced training in specialty * Direct cardiovascular experience in an ambulatory setting (ICU and ED experience are applicable) * Experience in prevention, lipid management, and/or chronic cardiovascular disease management
