Requirements / Qualifications
Required Documents/Attachments: * Two (2) letters of recommendation - must be signed and dated within the last 24 months. Only wet signatures and e-signatures will be accepted; names typed out in a stylized font will not be accepted as a signature. Letters from relatives are not acceptable. * Typing certificate, minimum typing speed of 45 net/corrected wpm. (See requirements listed.) * High School diploma or its equivalent. Community College or technical course work preferred. * Driver Record Request from DMV. (See requirements listed.)
CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: An offer of employment in this classification is contingent upon passing a physical examination.
Must possess, or obtain prior to appointment, a valid California Driver's License. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain insurability status under the District's vehicle insurance policy.
Must attach a Driver Record Request from the Department of Motor Vehicles dated no earlier than six (6) months before the posted recruitment period. Only DMV online/DMV official printout is acceptable. Printout from insurance companies or other source is not acceptable. Printout can be obtained using the link: "CA DMV Record Request". The document must include the word "end" on the final page to indicate the complete document has been submitted.
REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or its equivalent. Community College or technical course work
Two (2) years of varied and responsible clerical and accounting work, preferably in an educational setting.
Submit with the application a typing certificate for 45 net/corrected words per minute, typed during a 5-minute timed test from an accredited school or agency.
Pass the District Clerical Test and any combination of written, oral, and performance tests which may be administered to secure the best qualified applicants.
The Division of Human Resources requires a typing certificate from an accredited school or agency, dated no earlier than twenty-four (24) months before the opening date listed on the job posting on EdJoin. The typing certificate must be attached to the EdJoin application. Human Resources will not accept online certificates or e-mailed test results from typing websites. Typing test requirements and a partial list of local agencies that provide typing certificates can be accessed using the link: "Typing Test Requirements & Locations (Updated 05.2020)".
The typing certificate must contain the following information: - Agency's official emblem - Name of applicant - Score identified as net or corrected words per minute typed during a five (5) minute timed test - Date of certificate - Signature of person certifying the certificate - Address and telephone number of agency
