The Marketing / Proposal Strategist is responsible for leading proposal efforts in the southwest region; reviewing and organizing RFP materials, coordinating go-no-go meetings and decisions, leading proposal development, scheduling and leading proposal review meetings, and ultimately crafting proposals to win work for the company. This position will conduct proposal development efforts in collaboration with business development and project management leadership to develop distinctive value propositions that enhance our clients' competitive positions. The position will also work closely with the marketing team to coordinate communications and events for the southwest region, including various media formats, event sizes and stakeholder groups.
What you will do Work with Marketing team to coordinate internal communications in various forms including newsletters, intranet publishing and email communications. Utilize graphic design skills to update Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) packages as needed. Work with Marketing team to coordinate and execute internal and external events as needed, including training forums, educational sessions, internal seminars and large-scale conferences. Lead the proposal writing and development process alongside internal stakeholders and technical teams, including Business Development, Project Managers, and Engineering team members. Schedule and organize go/no-go meetings for reviewing go/no-go decision for pursuits. Manage and lead proposal kickoff meetings, and the development of graphics and visuals. Develop proposal plan, draft storyboards, develop proposal and win strategy, proposal team assignments, and initial proposal management plan. Assist technical and proposal teams by proofreading and editing proposal copy to optimize submissions, highlight differentiators, and support overall proposal win rates. Perform color reviews (pink team, red team, etc.) and adjust marketing materials in response to review and feedback or edit requests. Perform post-submittal activities including, interview in the checkmate phase. Work with a negotiated contract outline and deliver proposal services per the checkmate phase. Support the development of metrics; including change orders, safety, budget, schedule, diversity goals, and community involvement activities. Assist with the closing of the project deliverables. Assist with the submittal for industry awards (ACEC; ENR) local trade or national trade publications. Attends professional associations, conferences, and build professional network and trade shows. Set up and prepare the booth. Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or related field. and 4 years in marketing, business development, or sales with a professional services firm. Experience at an A/E firm preferred. Required or Applicable years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement. Required Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Adobe InDesign strongly preferred. Certified Proposal Management Professional (CF APMP)- or equivalent preferred Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) - or equivalent preferred
