What we are looking for:
We are hiring a Sr. Maintenance Planner Scheduler for our manufacturing facilities in the Salina, KS area. If you consider yourself someone who is: Responsible for planning and scheduling all modification to existing equipment and facilities and preventive maintenance in assigned areas.

Responsibilities:
- Analyzes maintenance scheduling for all shifts.
- Analyzes downtime by utilization of pureto charts and other analytical tools.
- Analyzes PM program, adjust frequency and maintains SAP system to ensure accuracy of PM program.
- Analyzes mean/avg time between parts failure to develop effective PM program.
- Maintains BOM for plant equipment assets.
- Analyzes safety stocks to ensure parts availability and develops kitting methodology to improve efficiency of maintenance technicians.
- Responsible for resolution of scheduling problems, new work order, preventative and predictive (as developed) maintenance scheduling, and preparation of various operating reports.
- Responsible for the effective utilization of employees, skill development, policy administration, employee relations, discipline, cost control, and problem solving.
- Responsible for keeping maintenance model current, including removing obsolete items such as PM's.
- Responsible for overseeing the SAP security of the maintenance department.
- Responsible for correcting errors, training employees in proper procedures, proper crewing standards, equipment and problem solving.
- Tracks costing for equipment and exception basis, as well as preparing monthly reports.
- Receives notifications from maintenance and production departments, converts notifications to work orders to create planning sheets for all maintenance departments.
- Reviews production schedules for available shut down time.
- Stays informed of all variables affecting maintenance scheduling, including delayed shipments of parts and material, equipment failure, weather, urgency of work order (priority), communication errors, and resource availability.
- Checks scheduling sheets and makes necessary changes.
- Updates maintenance schedules with add-ons, cut orders or in response to problems, checks and distributes updated schedules to appropriate management daily, or as needed.

- Two-year degree in specialized trade or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Typically has 5 or more years of related experience
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have good technical readings kills, basic math skills, and computer skills.
- Must have good organizational skills and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Prefer experience within the food industry.
- Must have mechanical aptitude to efficiently assign work and audit for effectiveness.
- Candidate should possess intermediate, mechanical, electrical and automation skills and good analytical skills.
