The CISO will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that is in line with the organization's goals. This role requires a leader who can guide the information security function, establish governance frameworks, and ensure the security of information assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare provider business management and cybersecurity technologies, with a focus on the importance of cybersecurity in achieving organizational objectives. Key responsibilities include fostering a culture of security awareness, collaborating with executives to set risk levels, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations. Candidates for the CISO position at the company should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, with a preference for a Master's degree, and at least ten years of leadership experience in progressive healthcare organizations. A proven track record in risk management and cybersecurity is essential, as is a thorough understanding of healthcare systems, including Epic-based electronic health records. The CISO will also be expected to have relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC. Leadership competencies include strategic thinking, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to influence and build consensus at all organizational levels.
