Position Description:u00A0 u00A0 Builds and delivers scalable applications according to established design principles using Java and Spring frameworks in an Agile environment. Provides continuous production support by responding to business queries and performing root cause analysis of production issues. Collaborates with architects to create and deploy extensive, scalable, and high performing applications into Amazon Web Services (AWS) services using S3, EC2, Lambda, IAM, SSO, VPS, RDS with Oracle, MariaDB, and Datadog. Supports new development work for applications using Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools -- BigBucket, Jenkins, UDeploy, Concourse, EKS, and Docker. Develops, deploys, and maintains code quality by performing code reviews and writing JUnit/integration test cases.u00A0 Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.u00A0 u00A0 Primary Responsibilities:u00A0 u00A0 Participates in architecture design teams.u00A0

Defines and implements application level architecture.u00A0

Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.u00A0

Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.u00A0

Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.u00A0

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.u00A0

Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.u00A0

Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.u00A0

Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.u00A0

Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.u00A0

Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.u00A0

Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.u00A0

Advises senior management on technical strategy.u00A0

Mentors junior team members.u00A0

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.u00A0

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.u00A0

u00A0 Education and Experience:u00A0 u00A0 Bachelor s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing Cloud-ready Java and Spring Boot applications in a financial service environment.u00A0 u00A0 Or, alternatively, Master s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing Cloud-ready Java and Spring Boot applications in a financial services environment.u00A0 u00A0 Skills and Knowledge:u00A0 u00A0 Candidate must also possess:u00A0 u00A0 Demonstrated Expertise (u201CDEu201D) analyzing, designing, implementing, and performing version control, automated build-deploy, disaster recovery, and post-installation validation according to Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) using Jenkins, uDeploy, and Concourse.u00A0

DE building Web applications using Java EE, Tomcat, Spring framework, JSON-RPC messaging interface, and complex, multi-threaded, and real time algorithms.u00A0

DE developing 12-factor compliant and Cloud ready Java, Spring, and relational database applications using Spring Boot microservices in a financial or analytical services environment; and hosting services to public Cloud (Amazon Web Services (AWS)) using EKS and Docker.u00A0

DE developing REST Web services to support OAuth based authentication (according to security standards) and integrating with client User Interfaces (UIs) using Angular and Typescript.u00A0
