The anticipated salary range for this role is between $158,000.00 and $198,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Security Architect with extensive experience in data security, data segmentation, and data loss prevention. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing security solutions that protect our organization's communication channels and sensitive data. This role requires a deep understanding of data security principles and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our data assets.

Role Objectives

Design and implement robust data security and segmentation strategies using various platforms. Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to protect sensitive information. Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate security measures into system architecture and applications. Author robust documentation on the technologies and processes built out in support of E-Communications Security. Provide guidance and training to staff on data security best practices and compliance requirements. Stay current with emerging security trends, technologies, and threats to continuously improve security posture. Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience in data security, data segmentation, or data loss prevention. Strong understanding of information security principles, practices, and technologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Proofpoint for email security and data loss prevention. Familiarity with Azure Active Directory for identity and access management. Knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel for security information and event management (SIEM). Experience with Cribl for observability data processing. Proficiency in PowerBI for data visualization and reporting.
