The Camera Technologies & Systems team in Camera & Photos delivers amazing quality photos and videos by combining state-of-the-art computer vision, image processing, and machine learning. As an engineer on our team, you'll develop and extend those software pipelines, working side-by-side with the exceptional engineers who made the iPhone’s camera what it is today and build new extraordinary camera capabilities spanning the universe of Apple devices. Description
The Camera Technologies team is looking for an enthusiastic and talented software engineer with a technical background in camera imaging. In this role, you will be responsible for prototyping, developing, and integrating cutting-edge camera and imaging technologies into our cameras. Our team works with complex systems and many diverse teams to develop cutting-edge software which continually enhances our camera and photos solutions. Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of software development and camera system experience. Excellent coding skills in C or C++. Strong technical background in image and video processing and computational photography. Knowledge and experience using Computer Vision to solve real-world problems. Key Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with multiple-camera systems and 3D geometry. Previous experience in digital imaging and camera development. Familiarity with common development and debugging tools for embedded/mobile applications. Motion sensor processing and fusion experience. MS or PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
