Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Software Engineer / Sr. Principal Software Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah or Huntsville, Alabama and will support the Sentinel program. What You’ll Get To Do: The candidate will have the ability to take ownership of hard problems and drive to a solution, while working in a team environment and provide support for its implementation. This key role will enable traceability throughout the lifespan of the Sentinel program by integrating data, information, and systems across a hybrid multi-classification environment. The Software Engineer will be expected to participate in the full life cycle of software development, to include requirements development, modeling and design, application development, unit to CSCI testing, integration, formal system testing, release, installation, and maintenance. Essential Functions: Full lifecycle design, implementation, and unit testing of software. Apply extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex difficult problems. Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems. Conduct multidisciplinary research when needed and collaborate with hardware engineers. Work with various team members to integrate functionality with other software components. Support the gathering and reporting software metrics. Follow program software best practices. Develop software products within all phases of the software lifecycle. Able to work independently and identify solutions to complex problems. Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects. Position Benefits: As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Defense Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including: Medical, Dental & Vision coverage 401k Educational Assistance Life Insurance Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions Paid Time Off Health & Wellness Resources Employee Discounts Job Qualifications: You’ll Bring These Qualifications: Principal Software Engineer - 5 Years of experience with Bachelors; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree Senior Principal Software Engineer - 8 Years of experience with Bachelors; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree Must have experience with development using eQube-MI/BI platform Experience with system-to-system integrations using REST services, APIs, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), microservices, etc. Experience with enterprise application integration, federation, and orchestration Experience designing, developing, and troubleshooting using object-oriented programming (e.g. Java, C++, C#) Experience programming in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, JavaScript, Perl) Experience developing in a fast-paced agile environment Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: Experience with Siemens Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Experience with modern modeling tools, such as CAMEO Experience with requirements tools, such as DOORs Experience developing solutions for a hybrid on-premise/AWS environment Active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance Experience with UI/UX design Salary Range:

$95,300 - $158,000 Salary Range 2:
