The Payload and Ground Systems organization within the Northrop Grumman Space Systems pushes the boundaries of innovation, redefines engineering capabilities, and drives advances in various sciences. The Space Systems Sector is looking for you to join our development team as a Software Engineer or Principal Software Engineer.
This position can be located at one of our following facilities: Aurora, CO, Fairfax, VA, Linthicum, MD, and Morrisville, NC.
What You’ll get to Do: We are looking for a Software Engineer experienced in Java (as your primary and most skilled in Object-Orientated programming language) who wants to work on an agile development team using modern development practices tackling both new development and operational support of systems that advance National Security.
Basic Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance required at time of application.
Level 2
: Bachelor’s degree in science with 2+ years of software development experience; 0+ years with a Master's; or 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Level 3:
Bachelor’s degree in science with 5+ years of software development experience; 3+ years with a Master's; or 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience in Agile (object orientated design), JIRA, and Confluence.
Experience with Java, Kubernetes, Dockers, and micro service architecture
Experience with JavaScript frameworks and Publisher/Subscriber architectures
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Keycloak or Open Authentication (OATH) technology, and no SQL database.
Experience with software system integration, testing, and deployment, including but not limited to automation.
Salary Range:
$89,400 - $134,200
Salary Range 2:
$110,300 - $165,500
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
