We're looking for an experienced Account Manager with experience in marketing strategy and planning to join our dynamic team. If you have a knack for setting strategies, managing media plans, building lasting client relationships, and overseeing brand projects and integrated campaigns from start to finish, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do Client Management & Account Strategy * Lead and manage a portfolio of clients, fostering strong, long-term relationships * Define measurable KPIs against client objectives * Serve as the client advocate within the agency, ensuring their goals and vision align with creative execution * Draft and present strategy/campaign briefs, media plans, and post-campaign reports * Support in the development and implementation of best practices for account management across the team, including communication protocols, feedback cycles, and reporting methods based on client needs
Media Strategy, Planning & Execution * Develop, execute, and oversee media strategies, including paid, owned, earned, and social campaigns across digital and traditional platforms, ensuring alignment with client goals and objectives * Guide the development of media plans, including budget allocation, audience segmentation, flighting, and platform selection * Collaborate with creative/tech teams to align media strategies with innovative executions that meet campaign objectives * Motivate team to explore bold creative executions and unique visual experiences that meet the objectives of the strategy/creative briefs * Analyze campaign performance metrics, optimizing for ROI and presenting actionable recommendations to clients * Support the development and implementation of best practices for media management across the organization * Collaborate with ad tech partners and vet new media proposals from vendors and publishers * Coordinate the development of assets with designers/motion designers, copywriters, developers, video editors, producers, etc.
Project Management * Oversee projects from inception to completion, managing timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables to ensure on-time and on-budget results * Provide clarity to team members about roles and responsibilities (ex: using RACI model or other best practices) * Facilitate brainstorming and strategic planning sessions with clients, alongside creative and tech leads * Collaborate with internal teams to prioritize and allocate resources effectively, ensuring smooth workflows * Anticipate and mitigate risks, solving problems proactively and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
New Business Development * Support proposal development, pitch preparation, and client presentations to help grow the agency's business portfolio * Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell agency services to existing clients * Build the pipeline with clients that meet Outright's mission/vision
What You'll Bring * 5+ years of experience in account management or project management within an agency, creative or marketing environment * Expertise in creative and production processes, including brand development, content strategy, and marketing/advertising * Proven knowledge of paid media planning and digital campaign management, including platform/channel best practices * Expertise in managing scope, project plans, timelines, and budgets * Proficiency in project management tools and software; proactive in learning how to maximize them for various projects and encouraging adoption across teams * Experience in working with clients in the non-profit, higher education, tourism, consumer branding and brand marketing spaces preferred * Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships * Experience collaborating on SEO strategies
Location Our office is based in Washington, DC, but our team primarily works remotely with the flexibility to choose between remote work or using the office space. While this is a remote position, preference may be given to candidates located in the Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia region. Candidates must also be willing and able to travel for client meetings, presentations, or pitches as needed.
Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and short- and long-term disability insurance, 401k, training reimbursement, 11 paid holidays, in addition to the week off between Christmas Day and New Year's Day, and 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO).
