Primary Purpose

This purpose of this position is to perform data analytics activities supporting the Human Resources Reporting & Analytics team’s functions and applications. As part of the day-to-day, the individual in this role will support client inquiries through data extraction, reporting, and analysis; leverage data solutions and methodologies to extract insights, trends, and patterns leading to data-driven insights; identify and employ the use of diverse and cutting edge analytics tools; provide end user education, issue remediation, and recommendations for change; and support database and data application system implementations and maintenance.

Primary Duties

Collect requirements and compile information to answer client’s most important data questions. This may require building queries using SQL, developing reports and dashboards for others to interact with, utilize, and better understand underlying data, relationships, and resulting insights. Maintain, improve, and automate existing reporting and analytics solutions using sustainable and scalable methods. Communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders on a recurring and ad-hoc basis.

Operational support of HR applications including system configuration, documentation, and customization as required. This includes helping develop oversight and governance strategies of report and analytics generation and standardization.

Manage relationships with stakeholders, continuously improve processes for end-users, and act as an internal liaison between HR, business clients, and IT.

Applies professional judgement and strong understanding of company control frameworks and processes, to strengthen the control environment while preventing and detecting fraud.

Individual will have no direct reports.

Minimum Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems/Technology, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Finance or related subject area.

3+ years of relevant experience.

Strong critical thinking and analytic skills.

Experience writing complex SQL, includes understanding database systems and creating connections to data sources.

Proficient in querying, interpreting and visualizing data from a variety of different sources to create a cohesive story.

Knowledge of metrics, data and business intelligence strategies.

Able to manage multiple priorities, be results-oriented, customer-focused and show initiative.

Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

High standards for customer service and the ability to build effective working relationships.

Works under minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience leveraging various analytical tools including, but not limited to data analysis and querying (SQL, Python, R, Power Query, etc.), dashboard and visualization (Power BI), ETL and data pipelines (SSIS), reporting tools (Hyperion, OBIEE, Business Objects), etc.

Experience developing business applications, digital analytics, and automation solutions.

Experience translating technical insights and requirements into digestible and meaningful information for all audiences.

Experience planning and executing projects and initiatives with demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and teams concurrently.

Works under minimal supervision.

Annual salary will vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors:USD $80,000.00/Yr. - USD $120,000.00/Yr.
