This role can be based in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, or New York.
This individual contributor will be essential in ensuring the data organization delivers solutions that fit marketing requirements and capabilities. The team acts as a key intermediary between the marketing organization, data organization, MarTech, and engineering, consolidating, and organizing business requirements and ensuring effective communication between both groups. The team is responsible for setting a clear vision for what the business needs and working closely with our data science and engineering partners to make the vision a reality. The position will help lead key projects, including rebuilding marketing data foundations, translating business requirements into technical requirements, and troubleshooting data issues, and setting the technical the technical standards for the Data Organization all of which have tremendous influence on how we measure our business and make investment decisions.
The ideal candidate will be exceptional in project and stakeholder management, able to move seamlessly between complex, technical conversations, have a deep understanding of data scheduling services and code repositories and high-level concepts. This individual has a strong knowledge of how marketing works and is well versed in marketing analytics, knowing the underlying technical requirements that enable informed decision-making in the marketing organization. They will be exceptional at building strong relationships across the marketing and data science organizations, distilling complex ideas into easy-to-digest communications, and running large programs in a way that inspires confidence and trust across both M&C and the data organization. They will be able to have both a detailed conversation in ‘the weeds’ of our data architecture and systems, as well as translate these highly technical concepts to the ‘so what’ for non-technical audiences. Above all else, the ideal candidate is an excellent team-player who can work through roadblocks with innovative ideas and ensure we are building out a data environment that meets marketing use cases.
Responsibilities:
Able to gather and coordinate user requirements to inform design, or reverse engineer requirements from existing data sources & applications
Identify, stand up and manage key projects to support changes to our data infrastructure, developing project charters, setting up key meetings and managing deliverables along the way
Work in partnership with data engineering/data science, to prioritize, delegate and UAT data enhancements and fixes
Lead projects in a way that inspires trust and confidence, considers stakeholder feedback, and moves forward in a transparent, efficient, and effective manner
Scope requirements and work with technical and non-technical teams to identify and implement solutions
Manage the two-way translation between business and technical requirements for B2B or B2C Campaign Reporting
End to end ownership of key programs, including scoping, influencing, educating, change management and communications
Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree or equivalent years of experience
6+ years’ experience in analytics, project management, program management or marketing
3+ years of SQL experience
Preferred Qualifications:
BA/ BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent years of experience
Proven ability to collaborate with key partners and stakeholders to define metrics, identify requirements and solve problems independently
Understanding of how data is used across Marketing, including performance management, reporting, measurement capabilities like modeled attribution, media mix modelling
Understanding of digital marketing, social, and advertising technologies, such as Google Marketing Platform, Facebook, Google Ad Manager, Social Ad Managers, Singular, and/or Adobe
Excellent problem-solving skills and initiative
Must be a champion in change management and communication across a large matrixed organization
Willingness to learn quickly and autonomously in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to think strategically and craft clear plans and processes, particularly in ambiguous situations
Experience in communicating and influencing both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience with marketing campaign operations and taxonomy
Experience in project or program management
Familiarity with B2B and B2C marketing strategy and measurement

The pay range for this role is $121,000 to $188,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
