Position Overview:
Ameresco has a new opportunity based in Maryland / Virginia for a Senior Project Manager to provide team management and support throughout the construction of multi-million-dollar Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System projects in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Responsibilities
Manage the Regional Construction Management Team and support the construction and implementation of Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage projects in municipal, commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.
Provide accurate and timely project status updates and communication to Program Director.
Attend and participate in weekly construction meetings at various project site locations.
Organize and maintain project related files, drawings, materials, and correspondence.
Assist with issuing bid packages to vendors and subcontractors for pricing and delivery schedules.
Assist with procuring equipment through domestic and international supply chains.
Prepare spreadsheets, analyze proposals, and conduct project review meetings.
Collaborate with internal functions to prepare and maintain all forms of reports, presentations, documentation, and related project material.
Ensurecompliance with company, industry, trade, and regulatory safety, standards, practices, and codes.
Foster positive and effective business relationships with all parties.
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent years of work experience will be considered.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant construction/project management experience.
Additional Qualifications: Competent experience managing large scale construction and engineering projects involving new construction, upgrades, renovations, and retrofits involving private, institutional, government, commercial and industrial customer sites.
Competent experience installing and commissioning PV/BESS Equipment (PV Modules, Batteries, Inverters, Racking, and Data Acquisition Systems / SCADA) design standards, installation, and operation.
Competent experience installing and commissioning power electronics and controls (Switchgear, Transformers, Switching, Controls, and Protection) design standards, installation, and operation.
Competent knowledge of utility, municipal, state, and federal renewable energy policies.
Competent experience assisting the design process of large projects with multiple engineering disciplines, specifically: Civil, Environmental (Geotech, Hydrology & Ecology), Structural, Mechanical, Electrical Low Voltage, Electrical Medium Voltage, Communication & Controls, and Lighting.
Proven ability to gather, validate, and analyze quantitative data and information.
Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and Project.
Proficiency with ProCore, SmartSheet, and related project management software.
Excellent verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills required.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and business relationships.
Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
OSHA 30 Certification (Preferred)
NFPA 70E Certification (Preferred)
PMP Certification (Preferred)
NABCEP Certification (Preferred)
