We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate, Portfolio Management to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be reporting directly to the VP of Credit and Risk. The Senior Associate, Portfolio Management is responsible for managing a portfolio of existing commercial loan clients. The Senior Associate is responsible for the proactive management of assigned RSF loans post-close to monitor borrower compliance, underwrite renewals, identify areas of risk, evaluate borrowers’ long-term viability/performance, and proactively mitigate potential defaults and loan loss. The role acts as the primary point of contact and key financial advisor for the assigned borrowers. Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of 20-30 loans, including: In coordination with the originating lender, serve as the borrower’s primary post-close contact for monitoring, servicing, modifications, and new loan requests. Post-close review of loan terms and conditions to verify all necessary information is in the loan systems to properly monitor ongoing compliance and key reporting and performance dates. Periodic collection, review, and analysis of financial, impact reporting, covenant testing, and monitoring and other reporting information for risk monitoring and updated risk recertification in accordance with the loan agreement. Periodic site visits to assess the borrower’s financial health, check collateral condition where warranted, and identify relationship issues and/or opportunities. Work with originating lender and loan servicing staff as appropriate to address compliance issues, delinquency, and any required modifications to loan terms and conditions. Make recommendations on loan risk rating downgrades and perform analysis on collateral value and potential loan loss. Maintain accurate and complete loan files and support as needed requests for portfolio or borrower information. Implement as required RSF delinquent and troubled loan procedures and policies. Monitor borrower delinquencies to resolve payment problems and other borrower-related issues. Proactively manage borrower delinquencies through meetings with borrowers; requiring, obtaining, and reviewing borrower financial and cash flow statements; and developing action plans for remedying delinquencies, with support of the VP of Credit & Risk. Perform data entry for Sageworks related to covenant and financial ticklers on assigned credits. Support maintenance of Abrigo robust tracking system for loan and collateral reporting/compliance requirements. Identify trends and risk issues that may impact portfolio sectors or geographies. Support portfolio reviews or stress testing. Perform other projects as assigned. Underwrite loan renewals or increases of existing relationships ensuring compliance with RSF Social Finance policies and procedures. Support the Director of Credit & Risk with new business loan underwriting as assigned. Perform annual reviews for credit facilities in the assigned portfolio and other loans as assigned. Recommend modifications to policies, procedures, or risk rating methods to improve risk identification and mitigation. Utilize data analysis techniques to interpret complex financial data, identify key trends, and provide actionable insights that support decision-making in credit risk and portfolio management. Credit Project Management (20%) Attend monthly Troubled Loan Committee meetings to track action items for existing troubled loans. Test monthly borrowing base compliance on assigned loan portfolio. Compile quarterly loan portfolio reporting for internal and external stakeholders as assigned. Monitor industry risks as part of portfolio management as requested. Provide support to the credit team as needed. Qualifications

A skilled senior associate with a relational approach that excels in fostering genuine, long-term connections with borrowers. Adept at active listening, empathetic engagement, and clear articulation to build trust and mutual understanding. Ability to deeply understand client needs, goals, and values, ensuring tailored solutions and personalized service. Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, accounting, finance, economics, or community development. In lieu of degree, 3+ years of relevant experience. 1-3 years’ commercial credit underwriting and administration experience, including asset and cash flow-based credit analysis skills, financial modeling skills, and commercial loan structuring. Demonstrated competency in commercial portfolio compliance disciplines and terminology, high-level credit and financial analysis, underwriting policies and procedures, and loan restructuring. Familiarity with the social finance sector, social enterprise, or one of RSF’s focus areas is preferred. Statistical Analysis: Ability to apply statistical methods to analyze and interpret data, which helps in forecasting and risk assessment. Financial Modeling: Proficiency in creating and managing detailed financial models that simulate the financial performance of different scenarios to assess potential risks. Ability to multi-task and maintain accurate records in varying systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to learn new concepts and systems quickly and efficiently. Must be able to work remotely during RSF’s Pacific Standard Time work hours and come into the office 1x a week. Must be available to occasionally work outside of regular office hours when needed.
