The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in complex commercial litigation, including first chair deposition experience, and will be looking for an entrepreneurial environment with realistic partnership potential. This role requires a highly skilled attorney with strong writing abilities and a proven track record of managing complex cases and delivering favorable outcomes for clients. Responsibilities: Lead and manage complex commercial litigation cases from start to finish, including developing case strategies and overseeing all aspects of case management. Conduct and defend depositions as the first chair, demonstrating strong advocacy and procedural expertise. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs, ensuring high-quality and precision. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Represent clients in courtroom proceedings, including trials and hearings, providing effective and persuasive advocacy. Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop and execute case strategies, settlement negotiations, and other legal actions. Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and support staff, providing guidance and oversight on case management and legal procedures. Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates, address concerns, and offer strategic legal advice. Contribute to the firm’s business development efforts by participating in client development and firm marketing activities. Requirements: Experience:
4+ years of experience in complex commercial litigation, with significant experience in first chair depositions. Bar Admission:
Must be admitted and in good standing with a State Bar. Skills:
Strong writing skills with a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality legal documents. Proven experience in managing complex litigation cases and leading depositions. Excellent verbal communication and courtroom advocacy skills. Ability to develop and implement effective case strategies. Strong leadership and mentoring abilities. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
