Director of Operations
to join the
Data Center Power & Control Division
in
Anaheim, CA . The Director of Operations is responsible for the strategic planning and direction of all aspects of manufacturing and supply-chain operations for the business’s internal and external facilities. You will support a dynamic, rapidly expanding business with quick and decisive decision-making while ensuring that customers' service and quality expectations are met. What Will You Do? Lead the development and implementation of a strategic direction for manufacturing, including long-range plans and annual operational goals to support the brand strategy and success of the business. Work with plant managers to develop and manage the annual operating plan/budget for the various manufacturing facilities, including capital expenditures for operations in support of financial objectives and achievement of long-term business goals. Ensure the efficient working of metal fabrication cells and understand how process changes can impact upstream and downstream manufacturing. Review operations reports and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement. Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease production costs, minimize inventory and work in process, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly with sales teams to provide quality and seamless customer service. Lead the deployment and optimization of “Legrand Way”, Legrand’s lean manufacturing system at all applicable business sites. Oversee health and safety teams in each facility, ensuring compliance with state and federal safety standards. In conjunction with the Strategic Sourcing Organization, oversee the development and deployment of optimal supply-chain strategies to enable world-class customer delivery, quality, and material productivity and mitigate supply-chain risk. Lead cross-functional Sales and Operations meetings to facilitate a common understanding of the state of the business from an operations standpoint, and identify key issues with product quality, delivery, inventory levels, product forecast, and related information. Provide leadership to advance manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, and plant management. Act as key liaison on operations requirements to centralized functions, including marketing, engineering, purchasing, sales, human resources, IT, and logistics. Select, develop, and motivate qualified staff to effectively support product design and development, and customer service functions and provide for the continuity of managerial and specialized skills. Required Skills Travel
- 25-50% Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required; MBA is strongly preferred. Multi-site, global, and full supply chain leadership experience at a business of similar dimensions and character is required. 10-15 years of demonstrated success in operations of increasing responsibility is required. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of operations, and exposure to engineering, logistics, procurement and related functions is required. The ability to work in a fast-paced organization, where decisions are sometimes required to be made without 100% of details being available is required. Knowledge and understanding of operation strategy and industry products is required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to lead teams is required. Must have excellent management skills, timely decision-making abilities, and effective delegation skills. Must have exceptional business judgment, strong strategic planning and analytic skills, and a proven capacity for rendering cost-conscious, objective business decisions. Pay Range:
