Overview
R&P is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who wants to join our team. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We are filling a mid-level Logistician position into a fast-paced and exciting work environment.
This position functions as one of the Configuration Acquisition Management Activity (CAMA) specialists for DDG 51 Class new construction ships.
Responsibilities This position supports a small team of CAMA specialists working across two shipyards in support of the Navy's guided missile destroyer program. Functions include:
Perform the functions of the Configuration Acquisition Management Activity (CAMA) for DDG 51 Class new construction ships.
Provide Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) for Government Furnished Equipment.
Ensure configuration accurately reflects the installed equipment in Ship Configuration and Logistics Support Information System (SCLSIS).
Communicate with PARMs, ISEAs, Ship-yard Configuration Data Manager and GF team to ensure Configuration Status Accounting accuracy.
Review various ILS Checklists for accuracy and coordinate with ISEA’s before incorporating into Configuration Software.
Review and release configuration items including Allowance Equipage List (AEL) in line with COSAL Incremental Configuration Cutoff dates
Validate all waterfront installations, waivers/deviations, and modifications in order to maintain configuration accuracy
Perform DDG 51 Class Government Furnished Physical Configuration Audit (PCA) at the DDG Shipbuilder’s facilities.
Review planned Post Delivery and PSA work items for Configuration changes; update configuration database
Build and QA configuration records in Model Based Product Support to support COSAL incremental schedule
Assist in researching parts availability in support of Fleet cannibalization requests
Qualifications Some experience working in the logisitics/CAMA area or related functions is required to be considered for this position.
Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma and minimum 3 years of experience in performing logistics in support of Navy Ships/Shipbuilding
5 years professional experience performing logistics, configuration management or product/material support; preferred
Specialized experience: Shipboard or waterfront 3M experience, Integrated Logistics support and/or product support to Navy Ships/Shipbuilding. Perform functions as the Configuration Acquisition Management Activity (CAMA) and configuration management in Model Based Product Support (MBPS); preferred
Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
