Lean Management System
to run our facilities with high quality output. At Pactiv Evergreen, we focus daily on optimizing plant performance by ensuring a flawless implementation of the Pactiv Evergreen Production System (PEPS). Responsibilities
Manage the CI budget within the facility to ensure projects are returning maximum savings to the business by implementing cost saving projects utilizing both Lean and 6 Sigma methodologies. Conduct weekly and monthly presentations to group leaders and continuous improvement leadership appraising overall site readiness levels and capabilities. Drive targeted, sustainable improvement in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. Execute continuous improvement projects within the plant utilizing CI tool box to drive cost savings and productivity improvements. Develop a facility Continuous Improvement Strategy to include plan development, schedules, and budgets for projects to improve existing processes. Ensure adherence to Lean Methodology, including Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, Daily Management, Layered Audit Process and Business Plan development to eliminate waste. Oversee all training at all levels of staff in the PEPS methodology. Identify training needs of all leadership team members. Assist with developing and implementing the required training. Responsible for enforcing all Food Safety/Food Quality programs throughout the supply chain in accordance with customer and company specifications (as dictated by the standards of NSF). When reported or noted, all food safety concerns will be elevated to upper management. Prepare for and lead all 3rd party food safety audits. Coordinate internal food safety and GMP audits. Provide quality engineering support for in-progress and final acceptance projects. Oversee data collection, analysis, and other research for quality projects. Provide technical operations support for molded fiber manufacturing problems. Develop and lead process-improvement initiatives to address specific issues as they arise with a focus on reducing scrap. Develop OEE and Quality improvement plans with the plant operations teams to meet targets. Serve as the central conduit for associated information designed to improve quality and productivity. Identify weak systems, strengthen those systems through written procedures and proper training, and monitor compliance. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a field related to Business, Engineering or Packaging Industry. 3-5 years of lean and quality experience in various, complex manufacturing environments; dedicated manufacturing Continuous Improvement experience preferred. Experience with Gainseeker software is desired. Statistical methods & process improvement techniques. Superior mathematical & statistical ability. Previous Supervisory or Management experience preferred. Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Processes, Automation and SAP strongly preferred. Must be or become HACCP certified. Project management skills are required; as they will often be required to work on several improvement projects simultaneously, with very disparate groups of people within the organization. Must have Microsoft Office experience with advanced Excel Skills. Safety -
