Benefits: Bonus based on performance Free uniforms Training & development Job Summary: The Lead Teacher/Site Coordinator will effectively supervise, guide and coach program staff, oversee curriculum development, ensure program licensing compliance, and maintain the health and safety of the children in the program. This role requires respectful, open, and authentic communication with families and the partnership school staff where the program is located. Supervisory Responsibilities: The Lead Teacher/Site Coordinator will provide direct supervision to: Teachers Teacher Assistants Volunteers The Lead Teacher/Site Coordinator will ensure: Effective time management of all direct reports Review and approval of all timesheets and requests for time off Regular supervision through individual meetings with direct reports on a weekly basis Ongoing feedback to direct reports regarding progress and performance concerns Annual written performance reviews for each direct report Participation in the hiring and training of staff as necessary Duties/Responsibilities: Plan and execute enrichment and academic programs to meet the needs of the students Manage all site operations ensuring compliance with Massachusetts Department of Early Education & Care (EEC) licensing procedures Build relationships with families and community members to encourage involvement in the program Engage in proactive communication with families to minimize concerns Assume full responsibility for the program site Respond to inquiries and solve problems in a timely manner Fulfill enrollment goals Ensure the program environment is safe, clean, adequately equipped, well maintained, and attractive Coordinate developmentally appropriate curriculum schedules in compliance with MA EEC regulations Monitor and observe daily classroom operations for safety and effective educational activity Oversee performance of classroom teachers and assistants, preparing annual performance evaluations Address, monitor, and document issues, concerns, and problems with students Develop and maintain positive and confidential relationships with parents, communicating about the program and each child’s progress Support teachers in completing children’s evaluations Ensure all children’s and staff files are updated based on EEC regulations Orient new employees using the classroom orientation packet Communicate with classroom teachers and school administration to ensure successful partnerships Conduct monthly quality observations and checklists on classrooms and teachers Participate in required training programs and professional growth opportunities Attend staff meetings as required Perform teacher responsibilities if needed Support with lunch/recess duties and school support if needed Perform other related duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: Strong program development skills EEC Lead Teacher Certification/License Strong supervisory skills Ability to multi-task and adapt to a changing environment Ability to work as a leader and part of a team Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Ability to set and manage ambitious yet attainable programmatic outcomes Strong customer service and follow-up skills Leadership and teaching skills Strong relationship-building and influential skills Strong team-building and motivational skills Budget and strategic planning skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred EEC Lead Teacher Certification required At least 2-3 years of supervision and management experience in the industry Experience with Preschool and School Age Children from 2.9-13 Years old
