Brief Description of responsibilities:
The positionof Territory Manager is responsible for selling of DEMDACO productlines at the retail level within the San Diego Territory. Thisposition is responsible for prospecting, qualifying, selling, accountplanning, and servicing retail partners whose merchandise needs can befilled with DEMDACO product lines. Achieve territory revenue objectives as defined by the companyand/or Regional Sales Manager (RSM) Work normal business hours approximately 8 AM - 5 PM Monday -Friday with occasional weekend work. Achieve minimum standards of company sales force includingattending 8 in person sales appointments per week, placing 10 orderswith separate retailers each week, and opening new accountsaccording to specified goals. Must sell entire DEMDACO product line and will have separate andspecific revenue goals for both Willow Tree and Portfolio. Responsible for account planning and forecasting within theirdesignated sales territory Communicate consistently and effectively to customers, RSM andinternal staff regarding sales and marketing issues in a timely manner. Report to RSM in writing on a weekly basis regarding TerritoryManager successes, issues and opportunities. Exercise fair and equitable decision-making regarding accounts and distribution. Must cover the entire assigned territory by calling on retailersin all areas in a systematic basis. Ability to learn and effectively utilize technology tools such as:Sales Force Automation Systems, EMUN, Concur, Web Based DataPresentation Systems and Customer POS Systems, Microsoft OfficeSuite and Teams. Be present at shows that have a reasonable impact on theirterritory as defined by the RSM. May also be expected to attend anyother national shows and/or sales meetings as determined by the RSMor Director of Sales. Experience and Skills
Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,skill, and/or ability required. * Outside Sales experience selling business to business, preferablyin the Gift Industry. * Understanding of sales process including: o Needs assessment. o Qualifying account as well as decision makers. o Contracting to gain understanding, agreement & forward movingaction plan. o Ability to develop creative solutions to customer needs. o Provide follow up and service. * Willingness to learn specific DEMDACO sales practices * Experience with independent retail as well as regional key accounts. * Sound decision-making skills. * Ability to work in a rapidly evolving and dynamic environment. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: o Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams & Outlook * Ability to learn and effectively utilize other technology toolssuch as: o EMUN o Concur o Web Based Data Presentation Systems and Business Intelligence Tools * Requires a hard-working self-starter hungry for success. Dynamic Physical Demands: Some lifting and carrying of catalogs, samples, computer equipmentfor day-to-day sales call activity, on multiple occasions throughoutthe workday. Occasionally required to move or set up for meetings orshow displays including but not limited to furniture and displaypieces. Travel in the field for customer visits, to trade shows andmarkets, or for other sales activity or meetings. Medical, Dental and Vision Plan Annual contribution to your Health Savings Account.
