Job Title:
RN - Labor & Delivery Location:
New York, NY 10029 Schedule:
34.5 hours/week Shifts:
7:30 PM - 8:00 AM, 3 days per week
Responsibilities: Maternal and child-focused nursing care in Labor & Delivery. IV insertion, phlebotomy, conscious sedation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal labor and delivery outcomes. Monitor the health and well-being of laboring patients and their newborns. Assess labor progression, fetal monitoring, and maternal health needs. Administer IV medications and fluids as ordered. Conduct phlebotomy and IV insertion as required for patient care. Provide conscious sedation during procedures as directed by the medical team. Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, neonatologists, and other healthcare providers to ensure a safe delivery process. Continuously assess patients for signs of labor complications or other medical issues. Respond to acute maternal or neonatal emergencies promptly.
Certifications & Licenses (Required) New York State RN License BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) NRP Certification IV & phlebotomy competency
Experience: Labor & Delivery experience (minimum 2 years). Proven expertise in IV insertion, phlebotomy, conscious sedation.
