Senior Materials Handler

Position Responsibilities
Stages and packs outgoing materials based on sales orders and stock transfer orders using handheld scanner to verify the order.
Unpack all incoming materials that arrived in ice and store in proper temperature warehouse.
Generate appropriate labels for incoming and outgoing material.
Utilize handheld scanner for warehouse operational activities such as but not limited to: Materials Receipt, Picking, Packing, Shipping, plus inventory cycle count.
Load and unload trucks as needed. Check paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments to assure the appropriate documents accompany shipment.
Stages raw material and packaging materials based on batch recipes using handheld scanner to verify the order.
Perform weekly inventory and cycle counting.
Will use SAP Warehouse Management for multiple transactions (e.g. process MTO's, process orders (batch recipe). This also includes cycle counts, transfer postings (SKU change, BADP, block-unblock), purchase orders, stock overview.
Generate picking lists using SAP; prepare packing slips, shipping labels and MSDS's for each outgoing shipment.
Prepare necessary DG paperwork for outgoing shipments, including both domestic and international.
Schedule pick-ups for customer service orders with various couriers for domestic shipments, answer phones, and serve as a link between other JSR departments and warehouse, working closely with customer service.
Submit all purchase requisitions for department needs and coordinate UN box release orders with purchaser.
Serve as back-up to the Warehouse Supervisor and assist in training other warehouse personnel.
Ensure sales orders and stock transfer orders are shipped out in a timely manner.
Package and ship miscellaneous items per requestor.
Generate U.S. Customs Automated Export System (AES) filing for international shipments.
Oversee all export documentation requirements, working with Trade Compliance to ensure compliance with government policies.
Work with management to contain, address and resolve internal failures and customer complaints.
Provide support/back-up to Warehouse Lead by scheduling assigned tasks to warehouse staff, including prioritizing the workload.
Interacts with other departments as required to perform daily activities.
Create and maintain all processes and procedures related to warehouse activities.
Perform inventory control functions; supervision of cycle counts, annual inventory audit and weekly resolution of inventory discrepancies.
Monitor and review temperature recorder logs.
Make suggestions to management for improving the position and work processes.
Work safely by observing safety rules, policies and procedures. Identify unsafe conditions or actions to management.
Skills & Experience Requirements
3-5 Years Warehouse/Inventory Experience. Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Advanced experience with SAP / Handheld scanner Forklift Certified with minimum 3 years experience. 3+ Years data entry experience (Excel/SAP/Access Data base) 3+ Years pick and staging of products experience. 3+ Years familiarity with hazardous materials and shipping regulations and documentation (including hands on shipping/handling experience) 3+ Years with inbound, outbound domestic shipping practices including Fed Ex Power ship 3+ Years understanding of production/materials process flows 1-3 Years Import/Export Compliance Regulatory Experience 1-3 Years APICS experience. HS Diploma or equivalent Associates Degree a plus Haz Material Shipping Certification/Additional Certificates (APICS/6 Sigma/LEAN Manufacturing) a plus Key Competencies (on a regular basis for your job responsibilities)

Ability to drive a forklift - drive sit down/stand up forklift, operate other on-site powered material handler equipment (walkie stacker, powered pallet jacks, etc). Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
