Job Summary: Location: Methodist Corporate Office Address: 825 S 169th St. - Omaha, NE

Work Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8:00am to 4:30pm

Support and maintain Revenue Cycle software, upgrades, maintenance and acts as a resource for Revenue Cycle related applications.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions

Responsible for maintenance and support of revenue cycle applications. Maintain tables (e.g., Payer, Employer, Physician, etc.). Cerner Scheduling database(s). Cerner Revenue Cycle Queue Admin tool and Supervisory relationship tool. Patient Access. Payment Processing. Assist and provide input on training material development and updates.

Ensure materials reflect valid information. Answers support calls on applications supported by the Applications Specialist.

Triage and tracks issues with applications through problem analysis, on-going maintenance and communication with users. Communicates system issues and/or enhancements for applications supported by RCT related to Revenue Cycle.

Communication is housed and maintained by Revenue Cycle Training Department. Develop and maintain effective communication with end users, vendors, team members and management. Participate when requested in testing, implementation and support of application software.

Demonstrates skill in working with information technology teams. Knows and demonstrates understanding of what is expected during testing. Completes all testing as requested by IT and/or Revenue Cycle management. Participates as requested in application development and deployment.

Participate in meetings in the development phase of applications. Documents meeting discussions pertinent to RCT responsibilities/maintenance. Assist with other assigned responsibilities in the project development. Responsible to maintain/update/develop specific procedure/process documents.

Documents for assigned applications are saved to the Drive/Training Department/Analysts folder. Documents are specific and detailed in order to facilitate back-up support and new employee orientation and training. Perform other related duties as assigned by RCT management.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare management, education or related field preferred. Experience

Minimum 3 years of healthcare business experience such as Revenue Cycle, Scheduling, Registration, or Billing required. License/Certifications

Skill with verbal and written communication. Skill with organizing and prioritizing work. Skill with analysis and problem solving. Skill with Microsoft Office. Knowledge of the revenue cycle process. Knowledge of common insurance billing and general revenue cycle business practices utilized in healthcare. Ability to complete detailed work. Ability to perform basic quantitative analysis.
