ASSYST is seeking a Java Developer to Support our client in Annapolis, MD (Hybrid)
Responsibilities: Design and develop JIS BUS applications using J2EE, JSON, and XML API. Analyze, design, and implement judiciary applications, front-end, and console applications using: - Java Functional Programming - Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA - REST API - Eclipse, Java 8, JSF, and microservices.
Develop case search index microservices leveraging Spring Boot, JSON, and REST API. Utilize testing frameworks and tools such as JUnit, Fiddler, Browser debugging tools, and SoapUI. Design tables and write complex SQL queries with Oracle 11g and SQL Server 2005 using tools like TOAD and SQL Developer. Work with version control and containerization tools, including GIT, Docker, and Kubernetes, and assist in CI/CD pipeline implementation. Deploy and integrate microservices using Docker containers. Implement SOAP client and server components using Axis2/JAXB to interact with OMS and third-party services. Develop UNIX shell scripts to support application functionality. Support migration efforts for enterprise applications from WebLogic 11g to 12c and transition security configurations to OAuth2/OIDC. Troubleshoot and resolve production application issues efficiently and effectively. Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Java Development. Expertise in Java technologies, including Java 8, J2EE, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Rest API. Hands-on experience with databases such as Oracle and SQL Server, including query optimization and design. Proficiency in XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, and microservices architecture. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong debugging and testing skills using JUnit, SoapUI, and browser debugging tools. Proven ability to work with MQ systems as a consumer and producer. Knowledge of WebLogic migration and security protocols (OAuth2/OIDC). Strong problem-solving skills to resolve application production issues. Familiarity with case management systems like Odyssey is a plus.
