Position Summary

The Material Handler is a functional role that includes distribution order picking, stocking, packaging, and other material handling and inventory control tasks to ensure timely and accurate shipments are made to our customers using various indicators or signals. To assure team continuity across all warehouse operations, this position may also be required to learn, perform, and or be certified to assist within other areas of Warehouse Operations including material control, traffic, or others as assigned.

The role works collaboratively with key business partners to ensure timeliness of execution, appropriate safeguards to protect during transit, and or other. Interacting with Customer Service, Purchasing, Planning, Operations and Material Control to identify and meet business requirements.

What You Will do as a Material Handler:

Unloads trucks and delivers inventory to stock. Parts must be physically moved and entered into ORACLE system through receiving transaction. Prepares transaction for sales order and gather necessary inventory for shipment. Submits transaction into ORACLE system. Picks material for work orders, according to printed picklists. Performs ORACLE transaction to issue material including any adjustments. Stocks completed sub-assemblies and accepted purchased parts. Packs any material shipped from the Distribution Center and complete shipping authority log using appropriate procedures. Maintains inventory accuracy by performing cycle counts. Assists Team Leader or Supervisor in researching discrepancies in inventory data. Ensures material movement is shipped, received, and stored according to Company and Federal standards. If material is not in conformance, rejects part and complete NCR. The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed:

Required: •Highschool diploma or GED equivalent. •1-2-year related disciplines experience.

Preferred: •Previous forklift experience (counterbalance, stock picker, reach truck) preferred, if none, ability to become certified. •General proficiencies in Microsoft Office and ERP/WMS.

Other:

Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance. 1st Shift (Monday - Friday) 8:00am - 4:30pm / 9:00am - 5:30pm.
