IT Concepts, Inc. (ITC) seeks an experienced
Journeyman Application Engineer
to support a DOD SOCOM opportunityITC will provide the Government with program management and services related to emerging technology solutions, including Enterprise Architecture (EA) and data science, application development and management support, training, and enterprise ecosystem support.
Responsibilities :
Designs and develops methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze structured and unstructured data sources. Develops and uses advanced software programs, algorithms, querying, and automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate datasets and model complex business problems. Facilitates the integration of cloud-based data solutions to promote scalability and enhance efficiency, optimizes data processing workflows, and resolves data-related issues. Integrates new project data sources with the current USSOCOM data classification and protection tools and platforms, supports appropriate data tagging for data used in all projects, and assists in implementing data loss prevention measures. Implement and monitor database security measures, ensuring compliance with DoD security standards, including encryption, access control, and audit trails. Monitor the performance of databases, identifying and resolving issues related to query efficiency, data integrity, and system responsiveness. Manage data migrations, upgrades, and patch installations for database systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and full functionality. Location : On-site in Tampa, FL
Requirements
Journeyman level: A Bachelor's Degree and 3 - 10 years of relevant experience Substitutions for education: Associate's degree plus 4 years of work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree 6 years of work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree Preferred Skills:
Expertise in database design, management, and optimization for relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Knowledge of DoD-specific cybersecurity standards and compliance requirements. Ability to monitor, analyze, and optimize database performance through query optimization, indexing, and load-balancing techniques. Proficiency in developing and maintaining backup strategies and disaster recovery plans, including automated backups, redundancy, and failover solutions. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Ability to work with Teams, but self-motivated to complete projects on your own Ability to work entirely on-site with minimal accommodation Clearance Requirements:
Must have active DOD Secret clearance.
