Job Summary
We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Senior QA Manual Functional Tester to ensure the functionality, usability, and reliability of our software applications. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in validating new features and enhancements while identifying and reporting any functional defects. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, review, and execute functional test cases based on business and functional requirements.
• Validate software functionality across various environments and platforms to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Conduct manual testing to identify defects, inconsistencies, and deviations from expected functionality.
• Collaborate with development teams to replicate issues and validate fixes.
• Participate in requirement analysis sessions to understand business goals and refine testing strategies.
• Provide detailed, well-structured defect reports, including steps to reproduce, severity, and impact.
• Perform end-to-end functional testing, including integration and system testing.
• Support regression testing by maintaining and executing existing test cases for system updates.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and address gaps in the testing process.
• Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and results.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of experience in manual testing, with a focus on functional testing.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC).
• Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Experience writing and executing test cases, test plans, and defect reports.
• Basic knowledge of database queries (SQL) for validating backend processes.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for documenting test results and interacting with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Exposure to API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (optional).
