The Lead Internal IT Auditor will play a pivotal role in ensuring SOC 1 compliance, maintaining strong client relationships, and coordinating effectively with external audit partners. In this role, you will facilitate IT audit execution by managing audit scope, conducting fieldwork, and preparing comprehensive documentation. Strong project management, effective problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and prior IT audit experience are essential for success. This position offers a hybrid work model from our offices in either Greenwich, CT or High Point, NC. Compensation and benefits overview. Here’s what you can expect on a typical day: As the Lead IT Auditor, you will manage the scoping, execution, and documentation of IT audits. SOC 1 Compliance: Oversee the entirety of the SOC 1 reporting project for multiple key clients, fostering solid client relationships and working with external audit firms. Show comprehensive knowledge of SOC 1, Type 2 concepts and how they are integrated within the organization's internal control framework. Conduct site visits with external audit firms and assist site managers during SOC 1 audit walkthroughs when necessary. IT Audit Execution: Execute and document audit fieldwork in line with GXO's Internal Audit Charter guidance. Compile detailed documentation of audit activities to substantiate findings, adhering to audit methodologies. This includes audit planning materials, test plans, workpapers, draft reports, and final audit reports. Identify weaknesses in control design and effectiveness to provide actionable recommendations for remediation. To succeed at GXO, you’ll need: A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 4 years of IT audit (internal/external) experience or relevant work experience. Proven experience conducting IT internal audit projects. Familiarity with the SOC 1 process and the associated controls. Experience in risk identification, controls evaluation, process walkthroughs, key control testing, and reporting outcomes. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time. It would be beneficial if you also possess: Experience with a Big4 accounting firm. CIA, CISA, or equivalent certification. Knowledge of critical IT risk areas such as cloud technologies, cybersecurity (including vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, data encryption), BCP/DRP, and IT General Controls (ITGC). Understanding of essential business processes such as Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and inventory/warehouse management. We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
