Cyber Security Project Engineer Virginia

This is a full-time position, and requires a TS/SCI/Full Scope Polygraph Clearance. 2HB Incorporated is seeking a IT Program Manager to support its government customer in Mclean, VA. The US Government's (USG) proactive cyber defense team is responsible for timely identification, triage, analyze, quantify, and track remediation of newly discovered or withstanding vulnerabilities and weaknesses across all of the organization's networks and systems. The USG requires support specializing in the application of theoretical and practical knowledge of cybersecurity, specifically vulnerability management, to maintain an optimal security and risk posture of networks, systems, and information. This is a tactical role and the work may be performed independently or within a team environment. The USG needs polished skills in data analysis, fundamental understanding of types of vulnerabilities, network attacks, and current industry threats, executing within a moderate to heavy workload. To include analysis across data sources and tools, correlated with threat intelligence from numerous sources, with detailed remediation/mitigation plans to be tracked via KPI metrics. The Candidate needs: Experience with risk identification, prioritization, remediation, and monitoring Experience with vulnerability and attack surface management Experience with Elasticsearch and Splunk Experience with databases (development, maintenance, and use) Effective communication skills w/ an ability to convey information to different levels of management and techncial expertise) Effective presentation skills to include taking data and quickly developing PowerPoint presentations) Ability to be a team player, with an ability to function independently without step-by-step instructions Ability to work core hours of 9am - 3pm This is a full-time position, and requires a TS/SCI/Full Scope Polygraph Clearance.
