Job Description Implements and develops security solutions and technologies to protect data/assets from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, destruction, modification, or disruption. Develops technical data security solutions within the context of system services, operating systems, networks, and applications. Serves as a technical and functional subject matter expert across multiple security domain areas, supporting tools and technical controls to minimize security risks within the company. Works to mentor junior members of the team on process and procedures. Participates in the evaluation of technology solutions and provides feedback. U.S. Bancorp is hiring a Data Security Engineer who develops and implements data security solutions to protect the company’s sensitive data across the organization’s on-premise, SaaS and cloud environments. This role will be part of a team that manages tools and technologies pertinent to data security, data protection, data access governance and data loss prevention. The position will serve as a technical and functional subject matter expert across multiple security domain areas, supporting tools and technical controls to minimize security risks within the company. The role will also create and maintain documentation related to data security solutions; this may include conceptual, logical, and physical diagrams; procedural documents; job aids; write ups on technical capabilities and solution configurations. Additional responsibilities include working to mentor junior members of the team, and participating in the evaluation and design of technology solutions and providing feedback as needed. 3 years minimum experience with security engineering including data loss prevention tools, data discovery, classification tools and/or data access governance tools Experience with designing and implementing data security solutions for enterprise environments Comfortable with Active Directory, multiple domains and directory trees Experience with Windows 2016/2019 server and local security policy and computer management. Knowledge of how permissions work on NTFS/Shared network folders, complex permission sets and advanced security. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl Knowledge of DFS an how this is linked to server shares Knowledge of using and working in Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive Knowledge of Azure security / Office 365 Familiarity with public cloud technologies. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $98,175.00 - $115,500.00 - $127,050.00 U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
