Perdue Foods is a leader in Premium Proteins and Perdue AgriBusiness ranks among the top US grain companies.SummaryThe Director of Enterprise Architecture will act as Chief Architect supporting all functional domains, technical domains, and business units, addressing end-to-end solutions and identifying opportunities to shape the future of the business through technology. This Role will engage with key leaders across business units (Farms, Foods and AgriBusiness) and seek to understand both current capability gaps and future business needs. By combining this insight with a broad understanding of technology, this leader will architect and design solutions that are strategic for the business and build on the latest technologies and patterns.Utilizing in-depth knowledge of infrastructure, open-source technologies and software engineering, this leader will develop the strategy, achieve business and engineering buy-in, and monitor execution toward the target architecture.The salary range for this position is $165,000 - $247,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). In addition to the base salary, Perdue offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/Rx, 401(k) with employer match after 1 year, critical illness, accident insurance, dental, vison, life insurance, optional group life insurance, short-term and long-term disability protection, flexible spending accounts and paid time off.Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, including business, information, application, and technology domains.Align the EA strategy with the organization s business goals and objectives.Lead the establishment and execution of a roadmap to guide the organization's EA initiatives and investments.Design and oversee the implementation of complex, integrated solutions across the enterprise.Develop architectural models and documentation to guide the development and integration of systems.Establish and enforce governance processes to ensure compliance with the EA framework.Conduct architecture reviews and assessments to ensure proposed solutions are aligned with enterprise standards and strategic objectives.Maintain a repository of architecture decisions and artifacts.Collaborate with business leaders, IT leaders, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure that the EA strategy supports their goals.Communicate the value and principles of enterprise architecture to stakeholders at all levels.Stay abreast of current and emerging technologies and industry trends.Drive innovation by identifying opportunities for improvement and modernization.Lead and mentor a team of architects and other technical professionals.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.Manage resource allocation and project prioritization to ensure successful delivery of EA initiatives.Establishes the integration patterns of cloud services with on premise application and infrastructure services.Minimum Education and ExperienceBachelors Degree in Information Technology, Data Architecture or similar, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in an enterprise architecture role. MS or MBA and/or relevant certifications are highly desired.The ideal candidate must also have:Experience in leading and managing architecture teams.Strong understanding of EA frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, SOA) and IT frameworks such as ITILExperience in various related industries (e.g., CPG, manufacturing, agriculture, B2B retail) is a plus.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.Proficiency in architectural modeling tools and techniques.Experience with cloud computing, enterprise integration, data management, and cybersecurity.Environmental Factors and Physical RequirementsPosition is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
