Human Resources Manager
based in the
Aurora, CO office
and will report to the Senior Human Resources Manager. The Human Resource Manager will manage the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department at Aurora manufacturing facility, including recruiting, new hire onboarding, training, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This position will support the Senior Human Resources Manager by managing all areas of recruiting, onboarding, training, employee relations, leave of absences and safety.
The hired candidate can expect to make between $95,000 to $115,000 annually. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Partners with the Senior HR Manager to learn and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning. Provides support and guidance to HR team, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations. Owns recruiting efforts for hourly staffing and administrative roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Identifies and addresses opportunities to create greater efficiencies such as measures to reduce turnover. Manages the operations recruitment processes (recruiting, turnover reduction, temp/perm strategies, performance management, training and development). Develop highly effective on-boarding process including I-9 and E-Verify process. Manages the training and development programs and initiatives that provide food and workplace safety for employees. Identifies training and development needs, define budget requirements, develop training content or work with external resources to develop and deliver as appropriate. Supports the HR Generalists with employee hourly disciplinary meetings, investigations, suspensions and terminations. Ensures HR team is compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices. Reviews policies and practices on a periodic basis to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Prepares reports for HR KPI and leadership review. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required. A minimum of five years of human resource management experience preferred. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired. Experience in food manufacturing industry strongly preferred. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
