ENG Electrical Engineer I

Volt is immediately hiring an Electrical Engineer in Austin, TX with a well-known industry leader. In this role you will create, maintain, and edit technical documentation for products and systems. This is a first shift position. As an Electrical Engineer you will: · Work with product developers and engineers, application engineers, product stewards, portfolio managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the documentation is clear and concise. · Create documentation for product drawings, product models, pulling commercial and semi-finished good parts numbers, product structures, product Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical reports. · Manage documentation by tracking documents, organizing them, and ensuring they are shared and reused to support product development efforts. · Ensure documentation meets corporate, division and regulatory requirements. · Develope and maintain standardized templates and forms. Estimated Duration up to 12 mths. The ideal candidate will have: Electronic Hardgoods Background is preferred Experience creating Bills of Materials and design drawings is needed PLM and Unigraphics software experience is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or trade degree in drafting Experience working in electronic hardgoods. Experience with new product development.
