Volt is immediately hiring a Materials Specialist in Colorado Springs, CO.
As a Materials Specialist you will:
Expedites and resolves backlog issues
Performs JD Edwards material transactions (work order/inventory/shipping/receiving) and responds to MRP messages or reports
Processes and maintains work order statuses, including but not limited to work order issuances, status changes, and closing
Performs material receipt transactions and reconciliation adjustments with accounts payable or purchasing and stockroom material issuance against work orders
Executes and resolves cycle count variances and investigates and determines remediation plans for inventory/material variances and shortages
Processes pick/ship tickets, prepares material for outbound shipments, and expedites/resolves backlog issues
Acts in cross functional roles which may include expediting, PC/IC clerk material handlers, shipping and receiving, cycle counting and stock room functions
Perform other related duties as assigned
This is a full-time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum of 1-year experience in a material management capacity in a manufacturing environment
Familiar with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, i.e. Oracle and E1 preferred
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Windows XP, Outlook)
Strong math aptitude
1st shift – 7:30AM-4PM Monday - Friday
Pay Rate: $16.00 to $19.00 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
