$30K start incentive, insurance on your first day, malpractice with tail, PSLF Program!Geisinger, a national leader in healthcare innovation and technology, is seeking a BC/BE Pulmonary/Critical Care trained physician with fellowship training and experience in Interventional Pulmonology for an exciting opportunity at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. There is also a strong Sleep presence for those boarded in and who want to practice Sleep Medicine.Job Duties
At a Glance:
- 1 week ICU 12-hour days (7 daysmostly days. Some swings/nights).
- 2 -3 days off
- 1 week inpatient consults, studies, etc 8-hour days (5 daysdays only). Call from home
- 2 weeks clinic 8-hour days (volume: 12-14 patients/day) Read PFTs (pulmonary function tests)
- Perform scheduled procedures such as navigational bronchoscopy at a minimum. Other procedures that one can do are endobronchial ultrasound, bronchoscopic lung volume reduction (BLVR), bronchial valves, robotic bronchoscopy, endobronchial biopsies, plus further Interventional Pulmonary program development
- Receive both clinical and academic titles upon start
- Teach residents, fellows, and medical students as well as participate in scholarly activities, interdisciplinary programs, committees and research

Position Details
GEISINGER MEDICAL CENTER (GMC), located in Danville, Pa., the largest tertiary/quaternary care teaching hospital in the region, is licensed for 475 beds, including 89 pediatric beds in the Janet Weis Children's Hospital. GMC, a Magnet Hospital, maintains the region's only Level I Regional Resource Trauma Center with additional qualifications in pediatrics. GMC offers an array of highly specialized medical and surgical services, including neurosciences, cardiovascular services, transplantation, women's health (in the Women's Pavilion), oncology and orthopaedics. The Hospital for Advanced Medicine serves as an integrated center for the most critical patients. Outpatient services are available on and off campus.
