Summary:
In this role, you will conduct stakeholder interviews to understand customer needs and business strategies and inform solution ideas, product strategy, prioritization, development, and enhancement of multiple inter-connected product suites. You will partner with leadership and application development to develop and execute product vision. You will manage the business planning and product life cycle for Vizient solutions and products that connect to member source systems such as electronic medical records (EMRs) or Enterprise Resource Products (ERPs). You will work with members to gather requirements and support product development, and the regulatory environment to make business decisions and recommendations for the product life cycle. You will be responsible for coordinating both internal and external communications and project planning for Vizient interoperability and data acquisition offerings.
Responsibilities:
Organize the overall management of complex product suites (e.g., maturity of product, number of stakeholders/users, internal or external usage, delivery wrapper, revenue, data sources), including coordination of stakeholders, cross-team initiatives, and member/market research, with minimal guidance.
Manage overall product strategy and enhancements, including roadmaps, business requirements, and business launches, with minimal guidance.
Create and communicate product value proposition, with minimal guidance.
Manage priorities of product business planning and life cycle across multiple products; ensure pervasive market needs are met, differentiated value is created, and roadmaps align to overall product strategy.
Coordinate and conduct member-specific voice of customer interviews to understand concepts, ideas, and overall member problems as it relates to product enhancements or strategy.
Partner with application development and project management teams to translate business requirements into technical language for development.
Enable effective agile development by representing the product team in sprint planning, sprint reviews, and SCRUM ceremonies.
Support agile development as a product/business needs expert.
Actively collect and analyze the regulatory environment, competitive intelligence, marketing research, market trends, and other data points associated with data acquisition and interoperability offerings.
Collaborate with product delivery, marketing, sales, and other business functions to establish launch plans and communication strategies.
Communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure understanding of offerings in areas of sales, marketing, analytics, data services, and product delivery.
Collaborate with Vizient stakeholders to advance regulatory influence in areas of interoperability and data standards.
Collect customer feedback, gather and analyze pervasive market needs, gain competitive intelligence, and drive cost/budget analysis.
Create and communicate product value proposition and deliver product demonstrations to stakeholders externally and internally.
Interpret data to identify potential business opportunities and make recommendations to product leaders.
Qualifications:
Relevant degree in business-related or analytical discipline preferred. MBA, MPH or MHA desired.
10 or more years' relevant experience in a product management/product ownership role required.
Experience developing data digital products desired.
Experience working with data specifications and data mapping between systems desired.
Experience with EMRs, ERPs interoperability software or data standards preferred.
Experience working in an agile development environment preferred.
Strong project management skills, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills preferred.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $194,200.00. This position is also incentive eligible.
