The Director, Business Intelligence & Commercial Data Strategy will evangelize and foster a culture of data and analytics innovation across the commercial organization that leverages our Zelis data assets to enhance our existing reporting or create new value pools. You will work alongside the Senior Vice President of Revenue Operations and act as a strategic advisor for the commercial organization at Zelis. You will identify, strategize, develop, and drive transformative initiatives by partnering with the business units in aligning the overall business strategy with innovative thought leadership.
The Director, Business Intelligence & Commercial Data Strategy will work across Zelis with teams from Corporate IT, Technology, Product, and Business Operations to conceptualize and deliver on reporting requirements supporting our Sales Performance and Client Reporting Roadmaps. The leader will require deep functional, technical, and domain expertise in delivering revenue operations reporting in a technology setting.
The ideal candidate is an accomplished business leader with a rare ability to blend technical, operational, and creative disciplines. They are highly skilled in analyzing large datasets, deriving business conclusions, and illustrating findings in a visual format that effectively conveys insights with context. The complexity of this position requires a leadership approach that is engaging, imaginative, and collaborative. They will have a sophisticated ability to work with executive and senior leaders to align, set, adapt, and deliver commitments supporting the most important initiatives enabling the organization's success. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Data Warehouse Liaison Collaborating with adjacent team members and departments, ensure the Snowflake data warehouse architecture has the appropriate SalesForce.com objects, fact tables, and dimension tables to support RevOps reporting. Partner with Sales, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure data alignment and reporting accuracy. Act as a trusted advisor, building and maintaining relationships with technology leaders and business stakeholders as an effective spokesperson and developer of solutions for complex business challenges. Sales & Performance Analysis Build out and execute on a powerful data visualization strategic plan for commercial performance dashboards through BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, SIGMA), inclusive of views for business reviews and ongoing analysis such as pipeline trending, win/loss, rep performance, and lead generation on a BI platform; with complementary reports and dashboards in the CRM. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and prioritize requirements based on business needs. Provide performance insights through data set analysis, quantify key performance trends, and contextualize results. Develop and implement operational and technological solutions to reduce sales forecasting error, enabling more consistency and reliability. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 7-10+ years in a sales operations strategy role. Experience with HubSpot, SalesForce, 6Sense, ZoomInfo, SQL development, and BI tools. Expert Excel skills (including the use of Macros, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Fuzzy Match). Extensive experience in demonstrating thought-leadership, initiative taking, decision-making, and creativity in innovating and solving business problems. Experience conceiving and building meaningful data visualizations that effectively communicate a story. Expert skill in developing and implementing programs in a leadership role, providing vision and strategic thinking around a full range of data decisions and issues. Expert skill in being adaptive and flexible; acquire, recognize, and apply new information. EDUCATION Degree in Science, Economics, Technology, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Location and Workplace Flexibility:
