VTC Manager
is the team lead for the onsite VTC technician and VTC administrator. Oversee the operation, maintenance, and if applicable, the repair of VTC equipment. Tasks include creating and maintaining effective customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction within the SSP community. The
VTC Manager
will work with the VTC Engineer to recommend enhancements and propose/test automation to decrease costs and improve customer service.
Responsibilities
Research current market technology to address AV/VTC issues and inform/advise the SSP CIO office. Prepare and brief on specific projects/findings as required. Oversee the operation, maintenance, and if applicable, the repair of VTC equipment. Create and maintain effective customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction within the SSP community. The VTC manager will work with the VTC Engineer to recommend enhancements and propose/test automation to decrease costs and improve customer service. Research current market technology to address AV/VTC issues and inform/advise the SSP CIO office. Prepare and brief on specific projects/findings as required. Responsible for assisting in promoting, improving, maintaining, and supporting all VTC services and/or systems. Assist in the designs of networks or portions of networks that include a selection of hardware and software packages. Helps to ensure that all software installed satisfies the communications needs covering both the hardware and security requirements Assists in all service/system upgrades while being a team player involving telecommunications and networking projects. Provide hands-on assistance involving troubleshooting and diagnostic support for all related systems, equipment failures, or service issues. Research available and emerging voice, data, and video communication technologies to recommend future implementations. Connects personal computers and peripherals to co-exist with VTC equipment on existing networks. Maintains network diagrams and connectivity records. Maintain trouble logs. Instructs users in the use of personal computers and briefing equipment in a variety of conference room settings including Town Halls and VIP-sponsored events. Performs vulnerability remediation as directed to maintain secure networks. Coordinate and troubleshoot any issues requiring escalation. Providing end-user training and developing and maintaining training material Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Associate degree preferred
5+ years of professional experience
2+ years of management experience
IT Certifications required: Network+ or Security+ Secret clearance required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of Audio-Visual Technology Knowledge of Automation and Enhancement Knowledge of Cisco Call Manager and VOIP connections preferred Experience in installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing video conferencing equipment and components, cables, connectors, and peripherals on a variety of network configurations preferred Installing and maintaining baseline VTC system configurations preferred How you’ll grow At Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their careers to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
